Technical Symbology Committee
Members of the Technical Symbology Committee actively work to ensure that complete technical specifications, standards, guidelines and technical reports are available to the market. Many of these symbologies, originally designed and published as AIM specifications, provide a basis for future international standardization of the technology.Recent Highlights
• Continued to enforce Best Practices to Avoid QR Code Phishing guidance
• Continued work on developing content on next-generation 2D barcode print quality standards (ISO/IEC 15415 & 15416 updates) through apodcast, webinar and additional guidance materials.
• Briefed on and provided feedback on Barcode Migration & Sunrise 2027 for 2D Codes in Retail
• Updated AIM Symbology Identifier database and reference tools for developers
• AIM International Symbology Standard Ultracode continues to progress through the ISO international standardization process.
